In 2020, milk consumption in Indonesia is predicted to be 6 billion liters, equivalent to fresh milk or 16.5 million liters / day. To fulfill this, a minimum of 1,325,000 lactating cows is needed (with an average production of 4,600 liters per lactation) or a dairy population of 2.6 million heads. Meanwhile, domestic milk production is only able to meet about 20% of national needs, and the rest is imported. With this in mind, a prospective dairy farming business has been developed.
